The iconic Waldorf Astoria hotel serves one of the most decadent, lavish and gorgeous brunch buffet’s in New York City and probably in all of the world. It is an endless adventure that begins with a raw bar full of six different smoked salmon flavors, shrimp, lobster and homemade sushi. Then you move on to the original Waldorf Salad veggies and what not. Then you are guided to the infamous Classic Eggs Benedict which was created at the hotel or you can go for the omelette station. Or if you are like me, you can combine a few different food groups on one plate: a little lobster here, some scrambled eggs there, some caviar and a piece or two of the fluffy french toast. Either way you look at it, it’s a brunch lovers dream and nightmare because this is the kind of meal that knocks you out. It’s a very special experience and something you should experience at least once in your life. It’s a classy, timeless, relaxing and long brunch that emits good conversation no matter who you are with. By the time you hit the dessert course you’re pretty delirious but you just cant stop. I found my favorite part at this  point- the yogurt parfait mixed with berries and granola. Yum.

I recommend doing a quick lap around the premises before you start so you can figure out your priorities. No need to try the main dishes such as the chicken or halibut. Stick to the raw bar, caviar, french toast, omelette and nutella crepe stations which allows for a little fire show and you should have all of your bases covered. Unfortunately, Sunday brunch is not offered all summer and available from September through Father’s Day. The good news is this means you have to go this weekend or secure your family’s Father’s Day celebration at The Waldorf Astoria asap! Bon Appetit.
