Suns out buns out. Well close enough, but spring has sprung, people, love is in the air, tanning is about to become a regular activity and outdoor brunching is game. If you are strolling around Prospect Park and looking for a great spot in the hood, mosey on over to Prospect Bar & Grill where mimosas and bloodys are only $4. No, that is not a typo. It’s also great for big groups as you can reserve all the picnic tables outside for about 20-30 people at no extra fee. Go have your own rendezvous. Props to Brooklyn!
The food is extremely satisfying and delicious, too. The fluffy Omelet is a good enough choice and above all those sad diner omelets – not plain nor unforgettable. Add in mushrooms, onions and some cheddar and your morning is set. The French Toast ($10) is a thick-cut battered Challah bread served with fruit, cashew cream and bacon. I will admit although the bread is a little dry, dousing on that cashew cream and maple syrup makes it a dream come true.
Breakfast burritos, Duck Hash, Steak and Eggs, Turkey Wraps and Burgers are just the brunch items you crave. All I have to say is go treat yourself! You deserve it.
