Best New Dishes of 2014 in New York City

It’s been another filling year in the food world with Italian restaurants galore, pizza pies to the face, new bagel shops to carb up on,  ice cream spots on each block a return of some of the hottest chefs and restauranteurs to the scene and adding to the casual game. Below is my list of top 10 dishes of the year. Most of my picks seemed to be pretty simple and shy away from the “hypest of the hype” which is what I’m always trying to look for. Eat ’em up.

  3. Russ & Daughter’s Cafe – Babka French Toast
  4. Morgenstern’s–  Salted Caramel Ice Cream
  5. Ivan Ramen – Roast Pork Musubi
  6. Tuome – Kale and Duck Fat Rice
  7. Empire Diner – Lox and Burrata
  8. Sprinkles Ice Cream – Sundae with a cupcake and ice cream
  9. Bar Primi – Seafood Antipasto
  10. Bodega Negra Lamb Barbacoa
